Depression Understood Forums

It's interesting how I can be so upbeat and still be horribly depressed, no motivation, it got up & went. I go visit family for my own mental health reasons, (after 60 years, I hate living alone) and then I'm told by others who don't understand, .... about me taking a "vacation"...... It would only be a vacation if I left my brain behind, and I wasn't unemployed.
Hang'n out it my cubby hole again, I'd talk to myself but no one would really be listening. So I'm try'n you all.
Very Alone in California and Not to Happy with the moments I'm in today.

You know kozy this will sound daft, but as a brit it's hard for me to imagine anyone being down in california. Looks so cool there! Still it's where you are at, not where you are eh? Took me about a year to adjust to living alone after being with someone for a decade, after so much longer it's no surprise it's hard for you to deal with. I still find it depressing after 5 years to cook for one person, i used to do it for a family.
Keep talking if that makes you feel better is all i can suggest, just typing helps me a lot sometimes. Sometimes it is all we can do to express ourselves and create an outlet, and that can make a small difference at least
