Frustrated with my life

I miss sleeping at night, and sleeping without nightmares. I'm a grown up I thought I was supposed to out grow these things. I'm tired all the time now and I'm recovering from a knee surgery so I can't work out or even go for a walk. I feel trapped physically because of my immobility and mentally because my mind never stops. Every day I am struggling to think positive and try to remember who I am. I have so much good, but my bad keeps weighing me down.
I have a councilor but I try not to talk to my friends about this, other then to say i'm having a good day or a frustrating day. I don't want to go back to when I drove friends away. Bahh, its just so hard when its your mind going haywire and nobody knows it but you!

((((((((( Crista ))))))))))))))
I am frustrated with mine also....
I have managed to turn it off a little, but it still goes far quicker than I can keep up with it.
You can do it.... There will be at least a moment's rest at some point.
Let's both take care....

Hi CRISTA I had been in that situation too and it is not a good one. Losing sleep and crying for no reason and all I know is I feel a deep sadness and longing for something which I cannot identify. A very empty feeling. Until one day I realized that my life has stopped and I have nothing to show for myself. it was a hard realization but a good one too. Do not fight the emotions or any pain that you are feeling.. Find a friend that you can trust and tell her everything that is on your mind, good or bad, painful, sad or a happy thought. Do not edit your thoughts. It will help. Think of one easy positive goal and focus your thoughts and energy on how you will achieve it. It will help you train your mind to refocus on today, reality and the positive side of your life. Try it, you have nothing to lose. God bless.

Christa, I know it may sound stupid, but keep track of what you eat before you go to bed. Certain foods and the way interact with people can cause nightmares. Also I've heard it recommended to keep a dream journal of your nightmares. I haven't tried it but heard it works wonders for some. Post here all you want. You won't drive us away. And you'll find friends here.
