Death (trigger)
Im so sick of this life. My wife thinks its her she dosent understand Im just so tired of life. Im 53 and there is nothing in life I want to do or continue on for. Antidepressants just made it worse. They ruined what little sex life I had left. My grandfather killed himself at 43 and was a congressman, attorney and still had nothing to live for. Why cant I feel normal??????????

Hello Tom,
Welcome to our forums. The people are very kind and caring and willing to give all the support them possibly can to you. I do hope you will receive that and continue talking/posting here.
Please know we aren't professionals and can only give support. Please tell your doctor your feelings, perhaps a change in meds, all I can suggest is to talk with him/her.

Hey Tom,
I left a message on my post where you replied. I would just like to add that going to meetings and talking about how you are feeling can feel scary but I have found I have had breakthroughs and my barriers come down and I slowly let people in by doing this. If you can't be real in a safe place like AA, where can you. Some meetings are more accepting than others so be a bit discerning. Also, venting on here is a great outlet and it got me through a stage when I couldn't even go to meetings when my social phobia got its grip on me. I also got some great counselling and it may be important to call a suicide help line. Sometimes I get tunnel vision and cannot see any options but when I reach out I find there are often 4 or 5 things I had not thought of. Let go and reach out mate and let AA love you back to life.
Glenn
