I didn’t realize how serious my anxiety and depression were at first. It started with overthinking, low energy, and trouble sleeping, but slowly it began affecting my work and daily routine.
There were days when even simple tasks felt exhausting. I avoided social situations, and my anxiety made everything feel overwhelming. That’s when I started looking into my options and learned that conditions like mine can be recognized under the Fair Housing Act.
One thing that really helped me was getting proper support. I explored options like My ESA Therapist to understand if an emotional support animal could actually make a difference for me.
The process also made me more aware of my rights. I learned that landlords can verify ESA letters, but they can’t ask for my full medical history, which gave me some peace of mind.
I’m still managing my anxiety and depression, but understanding both my condition and my legal rights has made things a bit easier to handle.
