Im so lonely. Im in college and I have no friends. I try to talk to people but I always run out of things to say or we just dont have anything in common. Also Im shy so that doesn't help. At the beginning, I met some people through my roommate but as always it went no further than acquaintances. Last quarter my roommate got kicked out, so now im all alone in my dorm. Now I have no one to talk to. A few weeks ago I finally met somebody and we hung out and played games. Soon we stopped hanging out though. He would always say he's busy and cant hang out. And now we don't talk at all. So I'm back to 0 friends again. I feel so alone. Sometimes I wonder if I always be alone.

College is supposed to be a formative time in your life when you meet people you’ll know for your entire life. And for the most part it is. But the other side of that is the hell it can be if you don’t have any friends in college and you’re forced to watch other people around you enjoy themselves and have the life experiences that you feel you’re missing out on. Luckily, it’s actually easier to sort than you might think. :)

I just finished my first year of college. I have tons of acquaintances. No friends. No one invites me to their parties, or to hang out in their room, the lounge, to dinner, anything. And when I invite them, they either decline or worse, ignore me. At least I had the sometimes company of my room mate. Now that I'm home, I have absolutely no one.

Maybe find some people that you would like to hang out with and slowly get into their group, sit near them at classes or breaks and try to talk to them, maybe say a compliment.
