Does anyone feel that they suffer from SAD?

I have thought for years that I might but have never done anything about it. I really do feel much better during the summer, but I wasn't sure if that's due to other factors. When I was about 15 or so my Dad suggested to me that I might suffer from it. I'm 21 now. I think that I have some symptoms of depression but I've never taken medication or talked to anyone. Just kind of try to deal with it in my own way.

What do you think about SAD?
If you think you suffer from it, what do you do about it?

I know this is kind of old, and i don't know if anyone still wants a reply, but here it is.

I am also 21 and believe I have SAD. I always feel so much more alive in the Summer and dispise the winter for the person it makes me become. I feel like I hibernate and hide my true self away from the world during the winter.

The few things that seem to help me are getting some Sun, journaling, and exercise... if I can drag my self out the door.

it has been shown that a lack of vitamin d [which comes from the sun] helps to ease the symtoms of depression through winter.
a good naturopath can help to point you towards a good supplement brand, as not all are equal.
it is common in the northern hemisphere.
