Sunshine and Bipolar?

Lately I've been going to bed early--like 6-7PM. I wasn't sure if this was due to bipolar or one of my meds (Depakote, which my GP had said can cause one to feel sleepy)
Then, one of my friends on another website said that sunshine affects his bipolar by causing him to feel blue. Which reminded my that last year, before I'd started on meds, I was also tired enough to go to bed early during much of the spring and summer.
This is interesting--I mean, usually when you hear about moods being affected by light and the seasons, it's by the dark days of winter making depression worse.
