Anyone taking Mirtazapine (Remeron)

Postby Scotty204 » Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:29 am

I've been taking it on and off for about 6 years and was wondering if anybody else gets a really bad sedation effect. I have to get up at 6AM everyday for work and if I take a pill at night I can barely get out of bed and trying to drive my car to work is just as bad :( and it lasts all day so I end up like a zombie. I stopped taking a full pill and I cut it in half now to try and reduce the effect but that didn't help either. That's just one side effect.

We each have a different physiology and will react to the same meds differently. It normally takes on average about 6 weeks to feel the full affects of a med. There are some side affects sometimes, but they generally tend to go away. If the side affects are unbearable, you can speak to your doctor and see if there is an alternative med you can take or adjust the dosage on this med.
