To be honest, I'm looking for a friend to completely confide in. I live in Charleston SC and would like someone to talk to.
Depression hits me. I experienced something five years ago. It has changed my life and not for the better I now realize I may need help, but I'm too ashamed to go to anyone for help. I may not need anyone who understands, but someone to listen.

Hi. Needing help is not a sign of weakness or failure. It's a sign of being human. We all need help from time to time. One of the most responsible things we can ever do is recognise when that time has come and seek out the help we need. It shows maturity and responsibility and an awareness not only of yourself and your needs but of those around you who may also be affected by our shortcomings no matter how temporary they may be. I'm glad you found us here.
