Alone

Postby lisalou » Sat Dec 05, 2009 6:00 am

Mark has gone away now for four days and i feel very apprehensive about the time ahead. He had to cancel his trip last time as i was suicidal but i told him just to go this time whatever state i am in as i am fed up of ruining his life as well as my own. Things have been very bad. Life has just become so difficult, even something as simple as washing my hair seems too complicated and not worth the bother. I had my assessment up at the hospital with the mental health access team and i was lucky to meet with a therapist who was kind and sympathetic. She has been allocated to me as my short-term support worker,i see her again plus a psychiatrist on wednesday. I so so hope it will be of some help because i can't carry on living like this. I want my life back. I want my mind back

((((((((Lisa)))))))))) Glad you got her to talk to on Wed, you got us too. When you start feeling better, the things that seem so hard now, won't be again. Please don't be too hard on yourself. You're not ruining his life, or your own, this is just a detour in the scheme of things. Hang in there and know we are here for you.

((Lisalou)) ((Hollyann)) is right, you are NOT ruining his life, he loves you and is there for you in bad times as well as good, just as you are and will be for him. I understand the strong to desire to have your life back, and good for you for taking the bull by the horns and meeting with the team and seeking all help you can get. In my better moments, I do believe healing is possible, and remember I had a two year period (the only time in my adult life) where I had relief from major depression...I was doing a combination of all the things that help, and it happened. I try to remember that. It can for you too, and we have to believe it is possible.

Wishing you light and peace in your day...

thank you so much both of you for being so kind and optimistic. I managed to get out and meet a friend for an hour who is also suffering from severe depression. It helps to talk with someone who understands. Tonight i intend to just snuggle up and watch loads of rubbish on tv to try and distract me and i least i have my three cats for company

I know things are bad right now, but please hang in there and know that we are here thinking about you. Please don't think you are ruining Mark's life. He loves you and is going to support you through these troubled times.
