I never really understood depression until I experienced it myself. It was not just sadness like many people assume. For me, it felt like constantly being mentally drained, losing motivation, and struggling to enjoy things I normally loved.
Even simple tasks started feeling overwhelming. Some days I avoided talking to people completely because I just did not have the energy for conversations.
One thing that genuinely helped me during that time was my dog. Having a pet around gave me comfort during difficult days and helped me feel a little less alone. That’s actually what made me start researching ESA letters and mental health support.
While looking into the process, I came across My ESA Therapist. I liked that the evaluation felt focused on mental health instead of just selling a quick letter online. Speaking with a licensed professional honestly made me feel understood for the first time in a while.
Depression can make people feel isolated, but support really does matter, whether it comes from therapy, family, friends, or even emotional support animals.
