Vicious cycle

Postby gambino » Tue May 20, 2014 3:48 am

My anxiety makes it hard to get a job, or go out with friends, meet new people, try new things, go on dates, but not doing these things especially not having a job or dating definitely triggers my depression. Anyone else experience something similar? Advice maybe??

Hey Gamino,
I've been feeling the same for the past year. But I forced myself to find ways to get me thru and that's by:
-running at least once a week
-chatting with random ppl online or randomly with friends
-volunteer with kids or elderly, they always make me smile when i help them
-listening to music and dancing alone won't hurt :)
-watch movies/shows, there are many sites online u can watch for free
-take vitamins to enhance parts from the brain to feel "happy"
I still get anxiety but my number one thing to relieve it is running. That's my addiction. You just gotta find yours.
Good Luck

Yes. I lost everything and am trying to move forward one step at a time. Up and down all the time family and friends don't know what to do. We have to hang in there and keep trying.

I know exactly what you're saying. It's a cycle that spirals downward and is so hard to get out of.
It's oddly refreshing to know that I'm not just a lazy pathetic weirdo... There are other people who understand. Is that selfish?
