Here looking to meet/chat-with people
Im 25, man from Argentina. I started joining to depression sites before this year.
I just been trying to find other people to chat and talk. People who have been through depression or is going through depression.
Im ok this days, but always good to find others to chat.
If any other is looking for the same reply here or message me.

Re: Here looking to meet/chat-with people
Same here it would be nice just to chat with someone the current chat room no one seems to be talking about depression and I would prefer just a group with a few people who really have a problem

Re: Here looking to meet/chat-with people
Sometimes we have to discover ways to encourage ourselves by acknowledge small wins such as seeking a forum like this and starting a honest conversation.
I crave honesty in the middle of depression, something those of us who deal with the state of mind get.
We get opinion, judgment, may be well intended over positive attitude supporters. All in all, lacks genuine, real look at the root causes of the depressed.
I hope that this forum can help, to be real, and truthful what depression really is.
As I face the dark days, I hope to learn from other brave souls who continue to fight to break free and have the courage to be honest about its effect on lives, hopes, and dreams.

Re: Here looking to meet/chat-with people
Hello Diego,
First of all I should say welcome to 'Depression understood'. From my own experience it's a really good place to be; it helped me a lot through some very dark days.
Also, thank you for your post which seems to have touched on a real need in several people; the need for understanding by connecting with other people who are suffering or who have suffered with depression.
I'm far from an expert on this site and all it has to offer but from my own experience I found that chat rooms are generally, just that, quite chatty. But, if you want to be a bit more serious and personal you can ask if some one will 'pm' which means personal messaging. Then you can have a private conversation with that person and get as deep as you like about what's going on in your lives.
I'm in the UK so about 3 hours ahead in terms of time difference.
I can't guarantee I'll be here everyday but if post back than I'll see if we can meet in the chat room.
In the mean time I wish you all the very best.
John.

punting is very useful: it builds motivation, happiness and that whole 'species survival' goal
Re: Here looking to meet/chat-with people
Hi
I have just joined and also didn't know what to say in the chat room as it seemed nice and cheery. I looked online for some help as I'm suffering with depression and anxiety and have had a particularly bad day. I'm in the UK and would be happy to chat to someone or in a group about ways forward and how to help manage these feelings,
Thanks for listening
