Depression Understood Forums

Hi everybody, good to be here!

I have suffered from depression for many years...longer than I care to remember!!
I have a dx of Bipolar2/Borderline.
My career as a primary school teacher ended due to mental illness in 1991, and I had to take early retirement.
I am coming up for 57!!
I am under the care of my local community mental health team at the moment....
I enjoy music of most types...it usually helps lift my mood.
I have a one year old border terrier named Harri..he keeps me going!

Hi Taffy - welcome to the forum. I also had to take early retirement from my job due to illness. There are lots of supportive and caring people here and I hope you decide to post a bit.

Hi Taffy - I'm older too (65) and had to quit work a long time ago due to depression and fibromyalgia. Coming here has been very helpful to me and I hope it will be for you Glad you're here.
