Hello, I am new here.

Postby Krista » Sat Oct 24, 2009 1:50 am

Hello, my name is Krista, I am new to this site. I live in Arizona, and am just now discovering my feelings of depression. After reading a few of your posts I feel confident that the people here are kind and genuine, and give as much love as they receive through your inspirational comments - this gives me hope.

I am a college student, and have hit an all time low this past semester. I find that I'm completely uninterested in all that goes on around me, and that my lack of happiness has caused me most of my friendships - hence my reaching out. I have recently started going back to church, and am a believer of God, but my bitterness and frustration with my feelings continuously get in the way of, well, just about everything.

I am trying to get help (seeing a therapist, etc) but have yet to see any changes. It's overwhelming, and I am so very tired of feeling this way.

Well, thats just about it. I am quite glad that I can finally relate to others through this site. It makes me feel a little better! Thanks for reading.

Welcome,

One thing that I can assure you of it that we have listened to a lot of people stories here and there is no judging. We do what so many people don't do in my outside life, is listen to each other. I mean really listen not just paying lip service.

If you are having a bad day, then sit down and tell us. Often it helps to share the load and know that someone out there cares.

I think that one of our basic human needs, besides the food and water thing, is that we all need to feel that we belong somewhere.

By finding us you now can be sure that you do, belong somewhere.

Keep posting.
