I’m new

Postby Leasy » Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:50 pm

Hi, I’m new here. I just wanted to find a place to talk to people who understands what I am going through. I am 55, and on SSDI. I have bipolar1, depression, anxiety, and not doing so well right now. I do work part time, but I am out right now recovering from back surgery. I really don’t want to go back to work, but my husband is counting on me going back in January. I want to tell him I don’t want to go back but he will tell me to find another job. I just don’t think I’m in shape to work at all right now. It’s all making my anxiety go through the roof.
Thanks for listening, Leasy

Hi Leasy,

First off, welcome to the forum. I'm sorry but it sounds to me like your husband is a little insensitive to what you went through. He should let you rest after your surgery regardless if you're physically okay to do so. When you are mentally not ready, you are absolutely not ready. If he cares enough about your wellbeing, he should understand if you refuse to go back to work.

Wishing you well!
