Depression Understood Forums

Hi folks. Nice to see a depression forum online. Well, here I go again. I am a 42 year old male. Feeling uncontrolably weepy one minute and then stable the next. I've suffered from depression for years. Medication usually works but as for now... I am literally a wreck, so why not? Maybe a forum with those who suffer as I do can help. Misery does love company you know. Looking forward to meeting you all.

I have had depression on and off for 9 years. The last 4 months have been extremely hard and looking for others in hard times to discuss symptoms, meds, and things that help get back to a better state. How have you all coped with low times? Do your meds work?

I have been off work for a month, and still no help with anxiety and depression. I thought it was work related, but still waking up each day with down feelings, lack of energy and motivation, and wanting to stay in bed/home.

Any advice?

Advice? Well I have a session with a councilor in about an hour and a half. Have you ever sought that sort of thing out? It can help.

Have you seen your doctor? Talk to him/her about it.

Finally the best advice I can give is, don't give up! And you know exactly what I mean.
