Hi, I'm 27 and married. I have a daughter who is 7 that lives with my mom. I think that's where a lot of my depression comes from. Right now i feel like i'm at an all time low. I recently lost my job, and my husband who had a stroke last year is working really hard to support us, so I feel bad worrying him with my emotional problems. I just need some people i could consider friends to talk to. I don't have any of my own besides my husband, and i'm very close with my family. I'm not taking any medicine right now because i really don't know where to start. If anyone wants to talk, i'd really like that.

Hi Jamiemarie, I was about your age when depression started to manifest itself in my life. Our first child was born when I was 27. I guess I was mentally unprepared for the challenge of being a dad. When the depression started to become a quality of life issues, I sought out a therapist.

I'm 49 now, and have been with a therapist since. It was the best thing I could do for myself and my family.

So my question for you is, are you working with a therapist? If you're not, I would strongly recommend you seek one out. I wish you and yours all the best for the future.
