Me

Postby Bill_Me » Fri Apr 05, 2013 3:14 pm

Hi , Just a bit about me I've just joined today - haven't been on forum/chat rooms for support before thought I'd give it a go - tried just about everything else !

So , me:

I'm 26 years old, live with my partner and am mum to little 5 year old with another on the way . I was first diagnosed with OCD and anxiety when I was 14. Since then I have tried most types of meds - some successful, some not , CBT, counselling etc.. Over the past few years my OCD symptoms have subsided and have found myself typically 'depressed' rather than anxious. Over the last year meds have taken the edge off it had been coping relatively well with maintaining some semblance of normality. However, found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago, came off meds and went seriously downhill from there . Am now on some that are are safe for pregnancy - have taken the edge off but am not in a good place. Really struggling to cope, feel down, useless, lethargic wanting to hide away from the world you probably know exactly how I feel , which is why I came on here. I have one more week off work as I work in education and its the easter break and then I'm supposed to go back and put on the 'happy face' again. god help me.

Hi. Nice to meet you. Welcome to the forum. Please feel free to try the chat room too. Have you thought about therapy? That might help you cope while being pregnant. I'm sorry that you are having to cope with going back to work while you are feeling like this. Maybe staying busy will help too. You are welcome to talk here as much as you need. People care.
