Hi everyone.
I am new here.I wish I had found this forum last year.
I have a few health issues affecting me.I have chronic fatigue syndrome(cfs),had that since early 2000.On top of this I have obsessive compulsive disorder.Had this since 2006.It stopped me being myself.I looked like a grotty homeless person. It just stopped me taking care of my every day grooming.I survived. And,I'm making great progress with the help of a great alternative health practitioner.
How I survived without sinking into a heavy depression is a mystery.I'm just so glad that I have got where I am now.
Here's a list of some of the things ocd prevented me from doing:
1)shaving,trimming my hair,beard,moustache(did I mention I guy?),fingernails,toenails.
2)unable to change into fresh-clean or new clothes.
3)unable to prepare food/cook food/eat food when I'm on my own.
4)unable to move things around my home. Most things have to stay where they are.
5)unable to wash my clothes.
6)unable to remove recyclables and rubbish from my home.
There were very few rituals but they are mostly gone about 8 months ago.
I have many food intolerances and prior to ocd I had candida.Thats gone too.
The cfs just means I'm exhausted a lot.The progress I've been making can run me of out of energy. My energy levels have improved as well as reducing ocd.
I'm from South Australia.
You are welcome to say G'day/hello or compare notes.
REgards Chris.
