Hi all,
My name is Angie and I have clinical depression. I am 42 and have unfortunately been on disability since I was 28. I have spina bifida (a spinal cord problem) that affects my legs. I can walk short distances but not far and have spasms of my left leg almost constant. My depression has been somewhat controlled by Cymbalta and Abilify, but I go in cycles. Right now, I am at a low point. It has been worse, but I was hoping i could talk to someone before it got really bad.
I have a lot of health issues and wont go into all of it, but I know my depression is worse in the winter like it seems some others deal with. I hope I didnt ramble too much.

Hi skfan
You didn't ramble at all. I'm glad you decided to join and post an introduction. Sorry you are in so much pain. Have you talked to your doctor? Sometimes meds need increased if youve been on them for a while or changed. And have you talked to your doctor about how the winter seems to make it worse?
You can always talk to us here, and of course are welcome to try the chat room as well. Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks for responding Hollyann. My husband knows i struggle with depression, but it's hard for me to open up. I am trying to talk a little more openly about it with him, which seems to help some, but he has been through so much with me that I really try not to worry him.
Well, thanks for listening (or reading I guess...lol).
