Anyone else suffer depression related migraines??

Postby GG » Tue Oct 23, 2012 2:44 pm

Hi, I'm a 45 yr old mother of 3 amazing kids and 1 beautiful granddaughter who are my life. I am married and although I haven't been happy in that department for years and have cause to not trust anything that comes out of his mouth anymore, he hasn't cheated on me that I know of (or really care at this point) and he supports and loves us in his own way. There have been many changes in our lives very recently; foreclosure, moving to another state for job reasons, my two older kids leaving home and moving on, youngest daughter cutting herself and dealing with depression ( and on meds) along with revealing she's gay (although we're supportive I'd be lying if I didn't say it were stressful in fielding questions, stares, crititsm etc...), and now...my constant illness. For months now I've been fighting what started of with severe gastrointesinal problems that caused my GERD (reflux) to act up and put me in the ER. Now, I have daily migraines that come with dizzyness, headaches, neckpain, everything. They have me on anti-seizure meds that seem to have me crying and laughing all at the same time - mostly crying. The problem is I'm mostly alone and I can no longer drive.
Is there anyone else out there who is suffering the same type of depression and what kind of help did they seek or lifestyle changes did they make? Was it worth it and how long did it take to help. I'm having to cancel my trip to see my kids/grandbaby next week because I won't be able to fly in my condition. :(

Thanks,
GG

I don't suffer from migraines associated with depression, but I have them quite a lot.

I have intracranial hypertension and migraine. so i always have one type of headache and honestly, painkillers dont work i just have to take some time out. i think the stress of my job causes some of mine

i just wanted to let you know you arent alone in having it manifest itself into a physical condition
