I have been bipolar my whole life but did not know it until a traumatic event in 2009 triggered a long state of depression. I wound up on various anti-depressants and sought counseling and this year I was put on Zyprexa. The medication worked great but I find it very upsetting that a single event triggered all this unhappiness and that I now have to take medications. I tried to go off the Zyprexa last month but my thoughts ran wild and I wound up back on the medication. I used to be a generally happy person and I would like to be that person again.
