New Here - Boston

Postby Jasereraser » Sat Nov 13, 2010 12:46 pm

Hey, I'm Jay. I'm a 36 year and live in Boston. I've had a problem with depression and anxiety all my life. I did seek long term therapy when i was younger, and it helped a lot. I discontinued it for god knows what reason, but I've had the same issues since. I actually feel like things have gotten worse and like I've had an ongoing nervous breakdown for a number of years but just haven't stopped to have it. I've never sought support from other people online but I feel awful burdening my partner with it all the time. So this is new for me. I have an appointment for another evaluation next week, but maybe reaching others will help too. Anyway, hi.

Hi Jay! If you would like to put your thoughts down, just go ahead. If it has triggering material, just put trigger in the title.

I think you're making a good start/restart.

Welcome!

Hi, I came here because I didn't want to worry friends with what I was thinking. They know I am/have been depressed but they have their own problems and there's more to me than this and I don't want to feel that it's all I talk to them about. I also hadn't been on a site like this before but like somone said in a film I saw once, "If you have a drink problem you don't talk to someone who's teatotal. You talk to someone who's a recovered alcoholic" Good Luck with the evaluation and treatment.
