Depression Understood Forums

Hey.
I've never been on sites like this before and I'm a bit nervous

I'm having a lot of trouble at home and need someone to talk to so found this site. I have a sister who is depressed and attempted suicide last week and I've been self harming for 2 years and have thought about doing what she did to many times.
I'm really shy and find it hard to start talking to people and to be honest chat rooms scare me , so even though I want someone to talk to , I probably won't.
so.... yeah......

Chat rooms scare me too.... I'm rarely ever in one, unless it's manga or anime related or something! (& even then, it's still rare.)

Just wanted to let you know we do have a chat room here that is very well moderated. We have ops who volunteer their time to keep it a safe place for people to come.
