4EverMe,
Sorry, I've been away for a couple days but I like your use of metaphors, I'm glad you backed up from the edge a few feet! Try to back up a few more sometime, k? :) And yeah, feel free to PM me whenever you want.

Thank you

Hi Wally,
How are you? I'm curious if you're suffering with anxiety? (on top of the depression?) This is something I deal with. Sometimes, I'm even anxious when the phone rings! Sounds pathetic, but I'm trying to work on that alone! It seems that 'isolation' grows worse with time. Strangely, what just came to mind? The visual of a snake! Call this snake "Anxiety/Isolation." I'm sure that most people have seen how very slowly a snake consumes its prey.

With me, this isolation problem has only worsened due to anxiety. They go hand-in-hand. It's good Wally that you're getting out some. I'm not one to really give advice on 'not living like a herm!' Haha! But, I'm thinking in hindsight, of the ways anxiety builds upon itself. Be good to yourself, and don't allow it to overcome you. And please keep us posted on how you're doing! :)

Hi 4EverMe,
Great to hear from you! And thank you for asking.
Yes, I've been spending more time alone lately. Often when I get invited to an event I get an overwhelming feeling of insecurity and I either don't go or I leave early without saying anything. I don't know if anxiety is the word to describe it, I just always feel self conscious. But I still go about half the time and sometimes I do okay. Last night for instance I was STRESSED about going to a wedding but I went and somehow got through it :) I think a big reason I was able to get through it was because I have a really good friend that understands what I'm going through and said I could call them if I needed too. I never made that call but the comfort of knowing I could meant the world to me!! :)

Hi Wally,
It's good to know you survived that wedding, that you weren't TOO blue! No pun intended, *something borrowed, something blue.*

Yeah, it does help when we know someone's in our corner. Also, it helps when there's a happy-medium in life. Generally speaking...There are some who will focus on your flaws so much, they won't see the good. Others will view what they like, and deny there are any flaws. Few, will accept the entirety--human flaws and ALL!.

People aren't too complex, when considering what most are searching for. Whether in love or friendship, we need assurance that others care, accept us, appreciate and understand us.
