Just another melancholic stranger

Postby Tortoiseshell » Sun Feb 26, 2012 7:02 pm

I guess 'hi' is a good start.

Like many of you, I've joined here in the hope of finding likeminded people who understand the torment of depression.

I recently decided to burn most bridges with people I know. I'm not sure exactly why but it was building up for a while. I guess I'd rather talk to strangers right now.

Talk to some of you soon...

'Shell'

Hi Shell, its a nice place to start. There's this and the chat room that goes with it. Lots of like minded people here. A lot of us have burned bridges for one reason or another. You aren't alone. Welcome to the forum.

Hi Holly- thanks, yes I'm sure I will come across plenty understanding people. I was just browsing some of the stickies etc.

Tried the chat link but not sure my old iPod touch works with it?!

But there seems to be no shortage of reading material here so I look forward to browsing soon :)

I hope everyone has a good Monday. Or that at the very least, it is bearable. x

Welcome to the Forums Shell! Glad to see you here reaching out for the support that is available here. I find it is much easier talking to the people here about my troubles and problems than to the people I am closest to in real life. No judging/critisizing here, only support and listening! I hope you find that here as well!

HI Shell, a big welcome as well. Takes courage to reach out, even to strangers. I look forward to reading more of your posts and I hope to see you in the chatroom too. Take care.

Hi,
I know what you mean about burning bridges. Sometimes its the best thing to do. I've had to do it recently, it hurts at first but that hurt will eventually go away....well atleast for me it did.
