Hi From Barry.

Postby barry56 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 1:14 am

Hi All, just wanted to take this chance to say hello and tell you a bit about myself. My name is Barry, Im 53 and was diagnosed with Bi Polar in the early 90's. For the last two years I have been really well, and to be honest, thought I had it beat. However, over the last couple of months my wife, who is also BP has been really unwell. I have tried my best to support her but in the process have been feeling my own state of mind has got out of balance. I found this site today and what I really need is the understanding of people who have depression. I haven't told my wife just how bad I'm feeling as she is still in a very fragile state. To steal a line from a song, I'm looking for "a soft place to fall." I hope I can get to know the group here as at the moment I'm feeling really lost, and more than a little scared. Thanks for listening. Warm Regards, Barry

Welcome Barry!! I am fairly new myself but I am sure you will find what I have - a group of kind and encouraging people who can look beyond their own depression to help others.

((((((((((((( Barry )))))))))))))))))))

Welcome to the forums! There are lots of understanding and caring chatters here. One of our goals is to be there for each other, and we do try to make it a safe environment and provide a 'soft place to fall'. We try our best to make that happen.

Share as much as you want, what you are comfortable with and you will receive support. There is also a chat room connected with this forum if you feel up to checking that out as well.

Both places are good, kept safe and gives lots of support.

Welcome once again, hope to hear from you soon.

Warmie
