Hello,
It feels crazy to even write this or be on this website, I am currently trying to work out if it is counter productive to even write and dwell on how I am feeling, but this is my only option.
I am a young women and am currently a student. I love my life and I know how lucky I am. And yet still get phases where I feel so low and depressed that I feel as though I am drowning.
I have suffered with depression since my early teens and have battled so hard to escape it but cannot quite reach it. It is times like this I wonder if there is any point in trying to do so. The logical part of my brain tells me there is but emotions won't leave me alone.
I love literature, (as you can probably tell by the title of my post) nature, music, moments of pure ecstasy and pretty much most good things in this world so it would be crazy to let go wouldn't it.
I have never described to anyone the full extent of how I feel so that is why I am doing this and also to (hopefully) find like minded people and help people,
Thanks for reading <3

How did you feel after you wrote that post?
Let that guide you as to whether you want to post again.
The treatment for severe depression is two pronged: meds to control your feelings, and therapy to learn to control your thoughts. See a Dr., get their opinion on what you should do. If you don't like their advice try one or two more Drs. If a majority say the same thing, then chances are they know better than you.
Only you know for sure though ... thanks for dropping by.
