Hi - hoping for hope here

Hi everyone

Just a quick intro, I hope to meet some like minded souls who "get me". Heaven knows its frustrating being told to feel better or buck up. Today is not a good day and I am deeply thankful for finding this forum.

I need to make some sense of how I am feeling and whether this dark cloud is ever going to lift?

Anyway, hello everyone.

In terms of your poll, only a professional can make the evaluation. Seriously: mental health is highly unique to an individual. Trends in studies and in medications are only a small part of your overall story.

Moving towards feeling better will take work. But it's a good worthwhile kind of work. Do yourself a favor - ignore this self-made poll and get with doctor or other trained professional and start the work. Good luck.

My thoughts are kind of similar to the previous commenter's. Depression is different for different people. The best ways to treat depression will be different for different people too. If possible, getting professional help is often a good idea.

I really hope that you are able to find some of the hope you are looking for.
