I'm a newbie. I just wanted to introduce a little about myself. I've struggled with depression for as long as I can remember...since childhood. I am finally at the point in my life where I am trying to take life more seriously and deal with my illness. I just turned 30 about 2 months ago and decided that I needed to get help. I have been on the generic for Lexapro for about a month now. This is the first time in my life that I have ever been on an anti-depressant. I also ended my job (which is kind of a long story which I may tell someday) and my doctor put me on disability about 2 weeks ago. It's been kind of a whirlwind for the past couple of months. I would love to make friends here. I am seeking as much support as I can get and I am willing to give support as well. Thanks for having me.
