Hi everyone!
I just thought I'd post as I've just joined.
I'm Digby, I'm in my mid twenties, live in the UK and suffer with Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, and am a recovering Bulimic.
I'm pretty lonely to be honest, I don't have any friends where I live (not for lack of trying) and I reached a bit of a crisis point this weekend when my dog died. Sounds stupid, I know, but I just got really low.
So, I've decided to join here in the hope that I can meet some people going through similar situations and that I can talk to.
Thanks for reading,
Digby.
xx

Hi Digby,
Sorry to hear about your dog, it's not stupid at all. Pets are just like family members so its normal for you to feel low after they pass. I felt sad when my pet died, I did take lots of photos and videos of him so sometimes looking at those helped me remember the good times we had and the silly things he used to do. Sometimes I just randomly say his name because I was so used to calling him... Now I just smile whenever I think of him because he has left me so many happy memories which I'm sure your dog left you too
Why don't you think you are making any friends? I personally think a good way to make friends is from meeting people from activities/classes that you enjoy, that way you have something in common and you see them on a weekly basis.
Anyway I know you feel lonely.. But you are not alone here
