Hello b3r3,

I guess we are often told to be happy and positive but says who? May exist in fairy tales but I doubt the majority of people in the real world are beaming with happiness all the time. Even a positive person will have a bad day and be a little grumpy at times, so don't expect to feel 100% all of the time. I believe this misconception makes us feel that something is wrong with us if we're not that "happy state" and we start searching for answers as to why.

We are often controlled by our feelings which are fickle and hard to control. Those who get on with life do not let their feelings override their logic/rationale and simply get things done. For example if we have a 9 am lecture and it is cold and windy outside, some people will come up with every excuse in the book not to go in. They feel warm and comfortable in bed, getting up and getting soaked in the rain will make them feel miserable so they find reasons to justify for not attending. Then there are those who get up even though they are still feeling tired, they paid £10k tuition fees to learn not to stay in bed.

So you choose whether you let your feelings dictate how your life runs...

Best of luck x
