I understand that many people like rap, but to me if you just put a letter c in front of the word, it describes precisely what it is. Who knows, maybe I just haven't heard the right stuff yet.

For a while after the breakup, I listened to a lot of darker stuff, but am now getting back to I guess the more "upbeat" stuff with some heavier stuff also. I like Paramore (lol), Angels and Airwaves, The Spill Canvas, Evanescence, Kittie, Big Dismal, Blue October, and a lot more...just like listening to what my current mood is I guess.

~lol~ With rap, there are only a few people (popular artists) who I think can really do it well enough & even then they're not consistent. Funny enough, I've found some of the best rap in video games or in Japanese music.

It's not all crap, but I do believe it takes some searching to find something you like. I do not care for the cursing (& usually aim for the censored version....

As for me, I like lots & lots of different music & listen to them at different times.

Global: Huun Huur Tu Cosmic Voices of Bulgaria Angelique Kidjo
Bjork Daft Punk Anna Vissi Hisham Abbas (nari) Gackt
Cheb Mami (Sting-->Desert Rose) Savage Garden/Darren Hayes
Alfredo Casero (their remix of Shima Uta) L'Arc en Ciel (Honey)
Vanessa Mae (The Violin Player) Kitaro (some)

THE ECCENTRIC OPERA (Those women are GREAT! Fugue in G Minor! Just about every time I hear them sing, I want to cry 'cause it sounds so beautiful to me.... Classical Opera remix... They make me want to go back to singing.)

Soundtracks-->mostly video game

Chrono Cross/Chrono Trigger (Yasunori Mitsuda)
Legend of Mana (Song of Mana) Yuzo Koshiro (Streets of Rage, etc.)
Sonic the Hedgehog (tracks in general: '06 for PS3, etc.)
Final Fantasy (in general, particularly VII, Advent Children, & X)
Street Fighter

Movie/Drama: Yasha (has a very beautiful instrumental version of Sting's Desert Rose) Batman Returns Space Jam The Crow City of Angels

Anime Soundtracks: Noir Technolyze Sailor Moon Escaflowne
Death Note-->L's themes, Mello 2 (absolutely wonderful)
Air Master Mononoke Hime

Techno/Trance/Instrumental (some)
BT (Dreaming) Solar Stone (7 Cities--> Atlantis Mix, Living Cities Mix)
Ozric Tentacles (remix of Sunhair in particular) York (awakening)
ArchAngel (Rings of Saturn, Serenity, Altair, etc. Artist made music while in college & then stopped abruptly as far as I remember.)

Japanese
Utada Hikaru (Wait n See, etc.) Kyoko Fukada (Easy Rider)
Ryoji Matsuda (Shissei no Meiro) Kanon Wakeshima (Still Doll, etc.)
Akino Arai (Reincarnation)

American/Canadian/etc. (some)
Alanis Morisette Meredith Brooks Goo Goo Dolls Janet Jackson
Beyonce Michael Jackson U2 Dido Britney Spears Whitney Houston
Backstreet *N Sync Jennifer Lopez Gloria Estefan Marc Anthony
Alicia Keys Aaliyah Selena

Rap (some)
Nas Jay-Z DMX Dr. Dre LL Cool J

There was a song I heard where it featured violin mixed with rap but I don't know what it's called or who sang (?) it. It was very good, though.

Relaxation: Cloud Fantasy, etc.

ETC. There's way too much here already.

Like the others, my play list depends on my mood. So when I am happy, I listen to classical music, when I am sad I listen to R n' B, when I am feeling creative and just want to chill, I listen to rock music.

Wow, I listen to alot of different music. Usually it depends on my mood. I like to listen to country, rock, oldies, hip-hop.

Lately I've been listening to Rascal Flatts, Paramore, Jack's Mannequin, Lady Antebellum, Cute Is What We Aim For.

Idk, I'm not really picky at all.

I listen to a variety of music, but LOVE 80's pop
I really don't like rap

I am listening to a lot of Michael buble at the moment :)

I also enjoy listening to classical if I need to try and wind down.

Music that touches my mind and heart, whatever it is, that's what I like.
