~All men Created Equal~
So many cries go out for help,
Yet no one seems to hear,
Eyes that look the other way,
And heads that turn deaf ears,
So caught up are we within ourselves,
We simply don't make time,
To listen to our fellow man,
A humanitarian crime,
The streets are lined with litter,
Walls covered with graffiti,
Our walks have become laden,
With the hungry and the needy,
Wee children cry themselves to sleep,
While dad and mother fight,
Still others shiver in the cold,
Lucky to make it through the night,
So much sadness and disparity,
A plague upon this earth,
Will we ever truly realize,
Just how precious life is worth,
Every life is special,
And unique in its own way,
Each child deserves a future,
A chance to live another day,
Every man has something to offer,
If only just a smile,
And everyone has a story to tell,
To listen takes only just awhile,
It's when we stop and take the time,
To listen with our hearts,
That we will see the good in man,
And the joy in life will start,
And when we truly start to care,
About our fellow man,
That sorrow and disparity,
Will leave our earthly land,
We will take care of our children,
The homeless and the weak,
We'll find we are all equal,
And then hearts and souls shall meet,
This world of ours is precious,
It's time that we start to see,
An end to hate and violence,
And the good in you and me.
