Humpty Dumpty

Postby postnatalymessedup » Wed Nov 11, 2009 12:56 am

And all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty together again.......

There are a lot of things that you forget but certain things that you remember and today is one of those day's I will never forget - because today I made my boyfriend cry. He doesn't cry at all but I feel that this time.... mabe we've went to far. It's kind of funny when one person is trying to look after another - when it's the other person looking after that person. We both love each other and we have a son we both adore but for the past few months it seems like we are making each other worse.......

And I'm at a loss as of what to do

sorry to hear you are having relationship troubles, unfortunately depression can really affect your relationships and it's always easiest to lash out at those you're closest to. forgive yourself. you must be feeling awful with depression and a baby to look after. explain to your boyfriend that you are feeling really bad and you didn't mean things to go that far. it's always upsetting to see someone you love cry but it was probably a way for him to get some of his feelings out.

have you got anyone who can babysit while the two of you go for a drink or see a film or something? having a bit of 'couple time' might help. have you looked on the internet to see what resources there are for people with depression in your area? often there are groups specifically for mothers with depression. I hope you can find some much-deserved support
