Does My Mood Depend More on My Routine Than I Realized?

Postby johndavi » Mon Aug 24, 2026 11:29 pm

Hi everyone,
I’ve started wondering whether my mood is affected more by my daily routine than by any single event.

For the past two weeks, I’ve been informally tracking three things: sleep duration, time spent on my phone after waking up, and my mood from 0–10Among Us. What surprised me was how different my mornings felt when I spent the first 30–60 minutes without scrolling.

I’m not claiming this is a solution, but I noticed that on days when I avoided my phone immediately after waking up, my mood was often around 1–2 points higher by late morning.

Has anyone else noticed a measurable connection between small routine changes and their mood? If you have tracked something similar, what variable made the biggest difference for you?
