everyday this feeling gets worse and worse. I can feel the aching feeling creep up on me many times in a day. My heart hurts and my wrists ache urging me to take action. No one can see through the mask i am portraying and i hav no trust to tell anyone about my situation. This feeling has progressed into this feeling that no one is there for me and im always doing something to hurt other people. I can laugh and have a good time but when i am alone i analyze things a realize i was wrong for doing so. The catch is im 17 yrs old, is it hormones and im overreacting to teen behavior? or is this the real deal and if so how did you go to seeking help? plz comment back

I don't know. The way you describe it I'm wondering is there a physical medical component of this ache? Possible issue in heart, lung, chest wall or something? But if you interpret this ache as an urge to "take action" that definitely shows a big emotional component, whether it's the cause of the ache or just the interpretation of it I have no idea. Maybe someone else has experienced or heard about this.
I guess the safe answer would be to seek help if you have too much of the wrong urges, and if this is many times daily, that's a lot. How to seek help most effectively I will leave to others to answer.
But maybe too much self-inspection is not good when you're feeling down. I think self-awareness and analyzing life is great and one of the best things in life in fact. But when you're down may not be the best time to over-analyze. If you have a good time while you're out, maybe find something relaxing or fun you can do when you come back to keep feeling good. Stress is not healthy for the body or mind.

Hi in_hiding,
like redux said, confirm that you are physically ok.
if you are , then try to answer these two questions -
1. Has anybody in your family displayed signs of depression or other mental illness.
2. Has there been a traumatic experience in your life.
If you answered yes to any of these two questions, then you might be having depression or related mental illness.
regards,
Jer
please talk it out

I know all to well what it's like to be a teen and suffering. Do you play any sports, or are you in any activities? Is there a teacher or a coach you feel like you could talk to? You can talk to your school counselor or social worker and they can lead you into the right direction for seeking help. They won't go to your parents/guardians without your permission unless there is an immediate danger.
If you just want to talk it out and get some support we are here for you, but there could easily be a physical component that you may need medical treatment for before you will really start to feel better.
