Something may have to give, but that "something" should not be you. Talk with your husband about the new reality of you being in a wheelchair; discuss and strategize about mobility.
I know that it is easy for me to talk about that. And I apologize for not fully understanding your situation. For what it may be worth, my mother was in a wheel chair for the last 30 years of her life. There are ways to make it work. Mom got back into the work force in a wheel chair in her 60's.
I'm so sorry you are alone so much. Maybe being here will help a bit.
Hugs to you, Tracy.

Hi Tracy,
I am sorry about your accident, and its effects.
I agree with nenkohai2, that the one thing that should not break is you.
It sounds like you have experience that others could use ... If your life has been like mine, the time between 15 and 25 seemed to take forever, while the past 18 years have gone by in a flash.
That is so hard to describe to young people who sometimes write here ... I am reminded of Peggy Lee's song "Is that all there is?".. Although, when I re-watch the song, I realize as an old fart I am a little offended by the line "Let's break out the booze and have a ball".
(((Hugs)))
