20 and I have no life experience

Postby FML » Fri Jun 20, 2014 2:26 pm

I am 20 years old. In college, starting my life thousands of dollars in debt when i've never even had a job. I have no close friends which is weird because I knew plenty of people in highschool. It's probably because I am anit-social, which probably stems from the fact I am self conscious about how skinny I am. I feel like my life is passing me by and I am missing out on my youth. I feel like I am way behind people my own age. I'm still a virgin which I absolutely hate because I had plenty of girls like me in high school but I was just too damn anti-social to care. On top of that, I found out I have a heart defect last year.

I just met this girl though, she's 3 years older than me and amazingly beautiful. She gave me her # without me asking for it, she said we should hang out, told me to add her on facebook, and called me cute. The thing is, I don't know if she's just leading me on- she never really initiates the convo (just over text). The first day I texted her I didn't reply back to her for about 3 hours and later that night she texted saying "What's up ?" but it's been 2 nights since we've talked, the last thing I said was goodnight. I don't want to seem pushy by always initiate convo, especially when I had the last message.

What is going on in her mind? Like I said I have no life experience so if you're a girl and could help me get in her mind i'd appreciate it.

Hello, I readyour story and i am not a girl. I will try my best to help.

I recommend just saying hello in the morning and waiting for a reply. If she dose not after a few days then i would really start to get worried and try to get a real conversation with her. Life experience is hard to get. I had the same issue but please go out and have a real life experience. Meet people and talk to them. It will hurt with all the rejection but help as well.

I feel your pain

I'm a 19 year old girl who is also in college. This girl sounds genuinely into you. Girls don't like having to wait 3 hours for a reply, the most you should make a girl wait is 30 min. Try and invite her to the movies, it's a friendly environment that isn't as serious as dinner and plus you get to be with her for over an hour.

Hello,
I'm a female with some advice....

This girl is obviously interested or she wouldn't have added you to her facebook. Don't be too shy and make her wait so long to hear from you, or she will naturally assume you have no interest in her...
BTW, there's nothing wrong with being a virgin. You should be proud of that. As for myself? In this day and age? It's something that I do respect about you. Good luck with this girl.
Please feel free to PM me for further advice.

P.S. All of my friends say that I should be a counselor. I'm a good listener. I've been through a lot of life experience, and am very intuitive...

I am not a girl but I totally agree with these people. This girl is giving you a open door, you should take it.

Hi FML,
So, what became of the situation with the girl you liked? Hopefully, you've just been too busy enjoying time with her that you haven't had much time for further posting. :-)
