Depression Understood Forums

I'm a thrity-something year old mess. I've struggled with depression for most of my life. I find it odd when I'm not depressed that is how long I've battled this.

I am a survivor of physical, verbal, and sexual (includes incest) abuse. My last suicide attempt was nearly four years ago. I'm still here. Today is hard. I'm trying to use all the tools I have to keep going. Doctors, medicine, today I'm trying this site. Tonight I'm re-connecting with an old friend that is very compassionate about my depression. I try to keep hope alive every day.

I`m so glad you found us..
You took the words right out of my thoughts when you said "I find it odd when I'm not depressed..."
I can identify with that completely.

It sounds so wonderful and very positive that your back in touch with someone who who will listen and support you.
Do keep in mind that there are also people here who you can lean on too.
So don`t ever hesitate to use the forums,chat as a a support.
