Depression Understood Forums

So I am in my 40s and am currently going through a separation from my wife. She is moving on after 21 years of not so great a marriage. am not going to place blame as we both have had big faults in the past. I do have 3 great kids that I love to death.

She is done, but I wasn't. I asked her to try again, but she doesn't want to. So since then, which has only been a few weeks, I have been in a funk of loneliness, sadness and what I guess is depression. I have learned that she already has been talking to or has been with other men. Not sure of the extent of it and not sure I really want to know.

I dont know if this qualifies as depression, or simply sadness and loneliness but suffice it to say. This sucks.
