Tired and do not know what is next!

I just heard fro the first time Kevin Costner's song "Angles came down". It is a very powerful song about those that died while fighting the civil war, and they added all of our other battles are brave serviceman fought in. It help let loved ones know that when their Family member was killed during battle, a angle came down and held their hand so they would not be alone.

This really got me thinking and depressed me more then the days before. For 26 years I worked, and retired as a Fire/EMS Dispatcher or 911 as it usually is known as. During my year i guessed that i personally answered 450,000 emergency phone calls. Not all of them Medical calls maybe 250,000 were medical. Not all life threatening, These facts on answering medical calls are true. I assisted over the phone with helping people give CPR 3765 times. I only assisted in saving one person. Those odds do not sound to good, but to me I got one of them spend another holiday with their family. I help bring into this world 6 wonderful babies. I do not know how they are doing today, but i gave them a chance. (why I kept count on this I will never know)

Know the tired part. Out of all the phone calls. I got 57 where some called for help, I got their address and got help on the way. the fact they were by themselves made me stay on the phone to help them in some way. but before someone arrived at the location the caller passed on. 54 passed from i guess heart or breathing problems, but it was peaceful in a way, and I felt the were not alone. I in a sense was holding their hand. 2 others told me goodbye and shot themselves, and the last one perished in a fire before rescue got to them.

Every day i went to work know that for my day to be complete someone had to die.

I retired because with the years i work i got a pension and full medical benefits. The pension is not enough to make ends meet so I went to look for a job. After 6 months at it I had a spinal cord accident, and for the last 4 month, and the next 6 months the most i can do is type on the computer or watch TV No driving, or riding in a car. some days I lay in bed not wanting to eat.

Why after holding hands to peacefully help other there is not one here for me.

Sorry to ramble and thank you if anyone reads this.

Good night and I hope to wake up to type some more on the computer
