Can you hear her crying in the darkness?
She is there all alone, waiting for someone to come.
She sits there crying because she's afraid,
she's afraid of what might be there because she can't see.
She cries from the pain that has been inflicted on her.
She has been abused both physically, and mentally.
She fears that they will come and hurt her again.
So she sits in the dark hoping that the right one will come.
But no one comes to help her, she still cries out for someone.
She hopes for a brighter tomorrow.
She hopes that one day she can escape.
She hides in the dark so no one can see the scars and bruises.
She wants to be happy, but no one will come to give her happiness.
She just sits there all alone in the dark.
She cries from all the years of torment and pain.
Why can't you hear her, don't you even care?
Why did these things have to happen to her?
Why did her innocence get taken away.
Why couldn't they just love the child.
Why did they have to cause so much pain.
Even now as an adult she still feels the pain.
She is there all alone, waiting for someone to come.
She sits there crying because she's afraid,
