I will do so Mich & Ken! Today, I decided to try to cool out for a bit.... I even rubbed down with shiling oil... It seems to be helping....

Yes, I really don't know what's going on at the moment. The roller coaster is a mystery to me....

& you're so so right Ken! Some days, I gotta slow down but it feels like I'm not doing enough I guess... I dah know.... Hopefully, it will reveal itself soon, so I can take care of it!

I do feel better! I took a nap & my natural Lithium! That stopped me from feeling so down & crying all over the place! (What a long nap that was! I didn't hear a thing!)

Oh my lithium! ~kisses the bottle~

I went back to that bank....

I did not have a panic attack this time, but it was close... & the thing is... I've gone in there SO many times before yesterday & even the day I had the panic attack!

The line was out of the "gate" thingy. It looks like | | . The difference is that the people didn't stand directly on the one side of it.... What I mean is |me|them . There was space.... The line sort of curved out & away from the gate.

I did feel the people were too close up under me, but I did my best.... Again, my nerves only got to be so agitated as time passed & I got near to the counter to see a teller.

I had my old ipod mini & took that out to listen to something. I settled for Around the World by Daft Punk (radio edit)....

It was pretty close; I was about to have a panic attack & then I just decided to do the 4 square breathing like in dande's post (http://depression-understood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6845).

That SO HELPED! I did have a bit of the shakes, though.... but shakes are better than a full blown panic attack! I think it's the waiting that does me in royally....

There was a guy standing in front of me, who had a similar behavior & slight resemblance to my near rapist.... That did not help the situation....

I just used my "I'm a bald-headed chick that don't take no _______" attitude.... Oh man... What a day that was....

I was nervous in the bank again... ~sigh~

My heart meds seemed to keep everything in check, though.

Breathing did become difficult for a little bit, but it did pass& I just tried to do it more deeply....

Edit: I don't know what I'm going to do, if I continue to have problems going in the bank.... The drive-thru window isn't any better in my opinion--& it's not like I know how to use it anyway.... Oh my word! >.<

I have as issue of having to shop for food when the store is busy. Or to go to the post office when they are busy. Not the building, or the business, just the confining feeling I get when there are more people about that I am comfortable with.

A thought, figure out the time the bank isn't so busy. Here it is the hour before lunch for me. Go then. I get in and out quickly when I do that. In fact there have been times I am the only 'customer' there.

This little trick has helped me so many times. Maybe it will work for you as well.

Don't give up trying, don't let it beat you down.

Warmie.... Thankssss!!!! :) (((((((((((( Warmie ))))))))))))))))

I have been trying to figure out when to go in the bank for a WHILE now! It seems every time I go, it's B-B-B-busy.... (Cheese & bread!)

I might try going around 9 something in the morning.... I did go at that time once & no one was in there.... So maybe then.... I will also try your time.

I have done the walk up window in the morning & didn't feel a way about it. I was outside & there was more than enough space. A breeze was blowing maybe....

The mall can get busy FAST... which is why I usually go when the Post Office opens around 7:30 in the morning to check the mail.... & the parking lot can be monstrous! :x

To shop for groceries or Kmart, when I was by myself last year, I would tend to go around 7am when the store opened & race to pick up everything pretty quickly....

Ah... The things we must do... but if it saves me from a panic attack.... I don't mind....

Thanks for all of the encouragement!!!! (((((((( Warmie ))))))))))))

We do what we need for ourselves. If going when a business first opens, and it works, then do. I have it timed pretty much on going food shopping, post office, WalMart, my normal runs out. It makes my life so much easier. As it will yours. Keep it up, you are getting there.

Yayyy! No panic attacks this trip when I went to the bank!

I did have a bit of nerves, but I cracked out my find a word book & attacked the puzzles. (It literally looked that way, but it's all good!)
