want to be heard
I'm 25 and have fought depression most my life. I have been diagnosed bipolar at the age of 17 and was treated for it until I was 20. Then I was diagnosed by anther doctor as major depression. about two years ago I lost all medical assistance due to makeing to much according to the state I live in. My depression has since started spiraling out of control and I have no money to get the help I need. I am hopeing to be able to find someone to talk to just to ease this pain I know that this is not a substitute for professonal help.
Hi. Welcome to the forums. We also have a chat room here. It's great for additional support. If you live in the USA, every city is required to provide health care (including mental heath care) for those who can't afford it. If you have an income, it will work off a sliding scale according to how much you earn. If no income, it's free. If this doesn't work you can google the samaratins. They are world wide. But I like coming to the chat room. Great support. Nice people.
I'm with you. I've recently had some painful experiences trigger depression in me and am at war with it again. I don't mean to talk about myself since this is about you and your pain, and I just wanted you to know I can relate and that I care.
I am finding that being able to come forward and say to the world that you hurt is a crucial first step to the road to recovery. I'm glad the moderator, Obayan, had some suggestions that sound good and hope that they helped you sidestep those ridiculous claims by the state. I feel for you and send an endless number of hugs your way.
