Unemployed and depressed :(

I lost my job of 16 years July 2010 and can't find work anywhere. I live in the country because I worked from my home and when I was laid off I knew my life was over and two years later I feel like the end is near. Besides my full time job I worked in retail part time so I thought I could at least find a retail job in the nearest larger town 45 mins away. Well, no go with that idea. I can't even get an interview with anyone. I don't know what to do once my unemployment ends. I don't really understand when it will end and I'm scared to ask. I have a small farm and my Mother is in an assisted living home in my town so I can't move because of the animals. I made 50k a year and now I get about 15k. I had to file bankruptcy March to save my home and car and my Mother gives me her Social security money to pay for them. I don't know how much longer I can depend on that money. I'm so depressed I once thought of ending it all, but could not leave behind my pets.

Hi there. I can sympathize, though I don't know how much help I can offer. In march of 2012 I lost my job of 16 years also. I proceeded to fall into a deep depression and several months later my wife through me out. I do have a home. I live in Fairbanks Alaska and getting a job is a little easier here than a lot of other places. I've always been grateful for that. My 93 year old mother lives in Maine and I would like to spend some time there with her, but I have 2 sons up here and it's meant a lot to me to be close to them.

My history with depression goes way, way back to childhood. In the last 10 or so years it's just gotten harder for me to function properly.

As far as the person posting above about numerology, it sounds like a sales pitch to me. I'm pretty skeptical about a lot of things that aren't backed up with some good scientific research. I spent several years in the 70s and 80s working in a health food store and while I'm somewhat open to alternative treatment methods I will view them with a skeptical eye until I see good evidence. Linus Pauling was a great man and a Nobel prize winner who spent several years trying to prove that vitamin C had tremendous health benefits. But his results were not repeatable by others. In my business there were always people who would come up with one reason after another to explain why this study didn't back up his claims. I just became skeptical.

Also numerology doesn't have anything to do with handwriting.
