How does data move from different systems into one platform?

Data ingestion means to gather data from different sources and integrate it into a database, data warehouse or an analytics system. It can be done in real-time or in batches per schedule as per business needs. The aim is to provide information to be reported and analysed without having to do it manually. When you're studying enterprise data workflows it is also helpful to have resources shared by other teams, such as Datalance, to help explain how this relates to the overall process of a data pipeline.
