One of the most popular Doctor Who TV stories is a story called Pyramids of Mars. This was during Tom Baker's tenure as the Doctor, 1974-1981. This story also took place during Elisabeth Sladen's tenure as the Doctor's human friend and travelling companion, the journalist Sarah Jane Smith. And, I remember seeing it when it was first broadcast.
Unfortunately, the actress who played Sarah Jane Smith died last year, during production of the fifth season of her Doctor Who spinoff series, The Sarah Jane Adventures. So, when the BBC released the fourth season of the Sarah Jane Adventures on DVD, they also included the Pyramids of Mars as an extra on the same discs, as a mark of the respect and affection that many Doctor Who fans, such as myself had for her and her portrayal of the character of Sarah Jane Smith. )
