Men. ( Yes, poor men! It isn't easy being a man! women have better sight, better hearing, better social skills, they live longer and seem to do better at school...While men are just clinging to our ecological niche, without the sympathy and understanding that we deserve...! I have shared this viewpoint with several of the women that I work with, they just laugh!

Paraffin. ( It amazes me sometimes how you don't think that you pay any attention to adverts, but they have a way of lurking in your subconscious for years, or even decades...
Anyway, for the benefit of our non-UK cousins
...Paraffin is what's known as kerosene in the US, and it was used in small portable heaters, " back in the day ". My Father had a small paraffin heater he used to leave under the front of the car overnight sometimes. Apparently, this kept the oil warm, less thick and made the car easier to start in the morning. There were three main brands each with a coloured dye added to them, presumably for marketing purposes. Blue paraffin from Esso, " Esso Blue ", Regent Green and Shell's Aladdin Pink perhaps better know as Pink Paraffin.
And decades after I last saw an advert for the stuff, I hear the word pink and I think of...paraffin!
Can I sue someone for this? Shell, maybe?

Canning
Paraffin is a wax used, at least here, that women will melt and pour over jams, jellies, and such, when they are 'canning'. You know, pressure cookers, veggie, jars, etc. My mother used it for years.
LOL hon, sue away if you can, who knows you might become a millionaire. And yes, strange how our minds retain certain things.
